our story

At Gingerich Family Farms we come from a long line of pioneers and adventurers, parents and grandparents who put their families and their values ahead of ease and conformity to build communities of integrity and perseverance. Beginning as a fresh start for our great-grandfather in 1972, the farm has become our home and haven, a gem tucked away in the heart of Abbeville County, SC. This is where we raise our beef, pork, eggs and produce, gather around bonfires, harvest and process corn, fish in the pond, and watch the sunsets from the hill. We love where we live, and we don’t take it for granted.

We’re on a journey of learning more every day how to honor the history of the land we’re stewarding, drawing on our love of nature and the earth and the pioneering spirit of our grandparents and ancestors to allow this bit of earth to wild its way to its full potential. 

Honoring created design in our lives, our livestock and our land has been a rewarding journey.
